「How and Where to Apply Architectural Thinking」
現代の建築家の特徴はその活動のフィールドの幅の広さにあり、また建築的思考が発揮されるのは設計や建設の段階だけではなく、人が暮らすより多様な場面へと広がりを持つと考えられます。「いかに」「どこに」を問う理由は、この「広がり」を具体的に見ていくことにあります。建築とは何かを問うのではなく、建築という立場から自身を取り巻く環境へと向かい合うそれぞれの姿勢の違い、働き方の相違、具体的な手法の幅広さ、ならびに建築家という職能やその変化に対するそれぞれの意識の差異が明らかになることを目指しています。
Contemporary architects are often described by its wide range of activity. Along this situation, territory of 'architectural thinking' expands not only on the process in design / construction stage, but also on the scene of our living. The question of 'HOW'and 'WHERE' surveys this growing phenomenon with specific projects sociologically. By clarifying the different attitude / thought towards environment in terms of architectural territory and wide range of design method, we aims to rethink about shape of occupational territory and its shift.
