- Shinichi Kawakatsu　 川勝 真一 (director of RAD, K|A director )

Shinichi Kawakatsu a étudié l’architecture et est diplômé du Kyoto Institute of Technology en 2007. La même année, il créé RAD ( Research for Architectural Domain), puis en 2008 radlab (un espace créatif pour l’architecture), et REP (Programme d’exposition architecturale). Il organise aussi de nombreux événements en rapport avec le champ architectural. Par l’intermédiaire de Nakayama Hideyuki il a rencontré Benjamin Aubry en 2009 avec qui il a entrepris le projet KxA.

Shinichi studied architecture and graduated from Kyoto Institute of Technology in 2007. He established RAD (Research for Architectural Domain) in 2008. radlab (a creative space for architecture) and PWR (Program AE architecture). It also organizes many events related to the architectural field.

 

- Mitsuhiro Sakikabara 榊原 充大 (Director of RAD, K I A project manager)

Mitsuhiro Sakakibara, a étudié l’esthétique à Kobe university de ainsi que l’architecture à Kyoto. Il rejoint RAD lors de sa création en 2008. Son principal rôle concerne la direction des projets. Il a aussi un rôle de consultant auprès de cabinet d’architecture. >

Mitsuhiro graduated at Kobe University and architecture at Kyoto. He joined RAD in 2008. Its main role on the management of projects. It also has a role of consultant to architectural firm.

 

- Chikako Yotsuyanagi 四柳 千佳子 (Assistant curator / Accounting)

Assistante curatoriale dans une galerie d’art à Kyoto, Chikako Yotsuyanagi collabore avec rep depuis 2010. Elle est en charge de la partie administrative du projet KxA.

 

-Hiromi Fujii 藤井 宏水(Assistant curator / Oversea PR)

Hiromi fujii, studied M.Arch at Bartlett School of Architecture, UCL. She worked for numbers of high appeal interior design projects and organize international workshop and lectrue. She is in charge of oversea press release and funding.

　

- Benjamin Aubry (Assistant Curator Secretary / Accounting)

Diplômé de l’ENSA Versailles en 2010, Benjamin Aubry a notamment effectué une année de Master au Kyoto Institute of Technology. Très interessé par l’approche japonaise de la ville et de l’architecture, Il a travaillé chez SANAA, Nakayama Hideyuki et Atelier Bow Wow, et a rédigé son mémoire sur l’analogie entre l’urbanité japonaise et le contexte périurbain en France. Il a rencontré Shinichi Kawakatsu, par l’intermédiaire de Nakayama Hideyuki en 2009, avec qui il a entrepris le projet KxA. Il travaille depuis début 2011 chez l’AUC à Paris.

graduated of the ENSA Versailles in 2010, Benjamin Aubry work included a year of Master at the Kyoto Institute of Technology. Through the　depthful interest in the Japanese approach to the city and architecture, he worked at SANAA, Hideyuki Nakayama, and Atelier Bow Wow, and wrote his thesis on the analogy between the Japanese urban and peri-urban context in France. He met Shinichi Kawakatsu, through Hideyuki Nakayama in 2009, with whom he undertook the project KXA. He has worked in the AUC in early 2011 in Paris.

 

- Hitomi Tamura 田村仁美

Diplômée du Kyoto Institute of Technology en 2010, formée un an et demi au total en France, à l’ENSA Versailles en 2006, et à l’ENSA Paris-La-Villette en 2008-2009. Passionée par la morphologie de la ville et de l’architecture, elle a travaillé chez Reichen et Robert, et a fait une recherche sur l’analyse des paysages urbains en France et au Japon. Après trois ans d’experience dans l’espace galerie de l’école à Kyoto avec Shinichi Kawakatsu, elle a rejoint le projet K/A en 2010.

Graduated from Kyoto Institute of Technology in 2010, formed a year and a half in total in France, ENSA Versailles in 2006 and ENSA Paris-La Villette, in 2008-2009. Passionate by the morphology of the city and architecture, she worked at Reichen and Robert, and has done research on the analysis of urban landscapes in France and Japan. After three years of experience in the gallery space of the school in Kyoto with Shinichi Kawakatsu, she joined the project K / A in 2010.

- Kota Suzuki 鈴木幸太
Etudiant master dans le domaine de l’histoire de l’art moderne et de la communication au Keio University à Tokyo, Kota Suzuki a deux ans d’expérience au Mori Art Museum en tant qu’assistant curateur pour des nombreuses expositions et publications. Il est en charge de la mise en oeuvre de l’exposition et de communications.

- Cédric Libert (Architecte Collaborateur principal du projet)

Architecte belge diplômé de l’Isall à Liège et de la Architectural Association school de Londres. Il a travaillé pour Zaha Hadid Architects et L’Escaut avant de créer sa propre agence ANORAK en 2004 à Bruxelles. ANORAK travaille autant sur des projets de petits intérieurs que sur la grande échelle urbaine, en singularisant des propositions spatiales fortes qui engagent des intérêts spéculatifs et pratiques et en prolongeant les fonctionnalités dans le domaine de l’expérience architecturale. Les projets sont envisagés comme la narration de conditions contextuelles, programmatiques et imaginaires. A travers de nombreuses expositions et conférences, le travail d’ANORAK a été montré en Belgique (Bruxelles, Mons, Gent, Liège), Pays-Bas (Maastricht), Chine (Shanghai), France (Paris, Annecy, Nice, Marseille), Royaume-Uni (Londres) et en Italie (Milan).
En parallèle, Cédric Libert développe une approche culturelle de l’architecture en tant qu’enseignant et commissaire d’exposition indépendant. En 2008 et 2009, il a organisé une saison culturelle à Paris, « Espèces d’Architectes », regroupant différentes expositions, projections, conférences et tables-rondes. Il a enseigné à ISA St-Luc à Liège, ISACF La Cambre-Bruxelles, ENSA Versailles et comme professeur invité à l’Ecole Spéciale d’Architecture à Paris.

 

RAD ( Research for Architectural Domain)
RAD is an architectural research practice based in Kyoto, founded in 2008.
Organized diverse and cross-disciplinary programme including events such as lectures, converstaions / series of interviews / exhibition / spatial direction / publication.
